Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Break 4 Day Losing Streak

U.S. stocks markets rose for the first time in 4 days. Apple lead stocks higher today. The Nasdaq gained +0.65% to 78041.9, the S&P 500 rose +0.28% to 2914.00, and the Dow climbed  +0.21% to 26,439.93.

Notable Stocks

Apple ($AAPL) rose +2.06% to $224.95 after J.P. Morgan initiated an overweight rating on the stock. The analyst noted strong growth for Apple’s services offerings, noting the company is “transforming from a hardware company to a services company faster than investors had expected.” The price target on the upgrade is $272 which implies a +20.92% move from the closing price today.

Facebook ($FB) finished the day +1.13% to $168.84.

Telsa Inc. ($TSLA) shares are lower -13.09% in after hours trading after the Securities and Exchange Commission sued chief executive officer Elon Musk. Elon Musk is being sued for “making false and misleading statements” to investors. The Lawsuit comes after Musk tweeted “Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. “Funding secured.” from his twitter account @elonmusk.

Amazon.com Inc. ($AMZN) finished higher by +1.93% to $2012.98 after Stifel upgraded its price target on the stock to $2,525. This price target implies a +25.44% move from the closing price on today.
