Dow Jones and S&P 500 Hit Record Highs

Wall Street Recap – The Dow Jones and S&P 500 hit record highs today.  The markets notched higher as trade tensions faded.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose +0.95% to $26,656.98, the S&P 500 rose +0.78% to $2,930.75, and the NASDAQ rose +0.98% to $8,028.23. Investors continued buying as they looked past the risk of trade tensions with China.

Tech led the markets with Apple ($AAPL) finishing up +0.76% at $220.03, Facebook ($FB) finishing up +1.82% at $166.02, and Google ($GOOGL) finishing up 1.47% at $1191.57.

The yield on 10- Year Treasury Note rose to 3.096%, its highest level since May, after strong economic data. This led the banking sector higher, Citigroup ($C) rose to +1.45% to $74.79,  JP Morgan Chase & Co ($JPM) rose +0.86% to $118.63, and Bank Of American ($BAC) rose 0.61% to$31.19.

Micron Technology Inc. ($MU)  shares fell -7.12% in after hours trading after the company posted its latest financial results.
